Blooms Fade

Pink edged petals ripple coyly stark white beauty

Spring violently blows tearing away

Magnolias failingly fragile in the breeze

Littering deepening green grass

Carpeting fragrance of life

Blooms barely opening shiver

Reaching skyward towards warmth

Blue atmosphere with billowing clouds

Latticed limbs stretching outward

Moving my sentimentalities

Longingly I wish to stretch out time

Just a few more blustery days

Sad to see the pretty blooms fade away
