Waning Moon

The waning moon fades

As hopes and dreams

Dissipate in heavens backdrop

Flickering as a candle

About to go out

Stars soft light

Casting shadows

Over my heart

An angel falling

Streaks across the sky

Crashing to Earth

Grounded now

But weak and small

Yet to be seen

Something priceless

A unique sum

Of particles seeking

To be grander

Than just a twinkle

In the distance

To be cherished

By someone

Appreciated
